Council Member
My name is Carrie Harrington. My family and I have lived in Woodworth since 2021. As a proud small business owner and resident of Woodworth, I am honored to serve our town as a council member. I have been married to my husband, Jordon, for 16 years. We have two daughters, Kynslee(13) & Stella(9), both of whom attend Caroline Dormon Junior High. Our family attends St. Rita Catholic Church. I am a member of the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce, volunteer for the Caroline Dormon PTO, the Young Professionals Group of Central Louisiana, and am a nominee for the CENLA 4WARD award that recognizes individuals who exhibit the 4 pillars that move communities 4WARD; community involvement, industry impact, leadership & professional distinction, and passion & perseverance. With 16 years of experience in healthcare, specifically in radiology and management, I’ve gained valuable skills in leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration, all of which have prepared me for this role.
With deep roots in the Mississippi Delta and a strong commitment to fostering community, I bring my experience as the owner of Sweet Delta Bakery & Coffee Shop to support local businesses and families. Through my involvement in state and local activities, I advocate for small businesses, highlighting the role of local commerce in economic development and community building. My goal is to work collaboratively with our residents to ensure Woodworth continues to thrive as a vibrant, welcoming town for all.
