The Louisiana Municipal Association has awarded the Town of Woodworth the 2018 Community Achievement Award for Outstanding Community Improvement in Basic Services. This comes after the completion of the splash pad as well as ongoing projects such as the addition of sidewalks and new road signage throughout the town. Mayor David C. Butler II was on hand to accept the award on August 2, 2019 at the LMA Convention held in Monroe, Louisiana. This award is the product of a team effort and the Town of Woodworth will continue to make strides toward future progress.
